Abstract

|
Hemangioma is one of the most common tumor in the region of the face.
Most hemangioma will involute spontaneously. But the slowly enlarged cavernous hemangioma involving the lip may persist into adult life. Surgical treatment is preferred fot the labial hemangioma that does not exhibit evidence of spontaneous involution within a reasonable time.
When it comes to the surgical removal of the huge hemangioma of the upper lip. one must bear two aims of the operation in mind. The first is to prevent its recurrence and the is to get cosmetically acceptable lip. In consideraion of these two purposes, we might say that we have operated sucessfully two cases of huge hemangioma involving the mid-portion of the upper lip by conservative surgical reduction in three dimensions.
